Cutting into a sewer pipe

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.08 PM

I am moving a drain to make way for a new kitchen extension. I need to cut into a 150mm ceramic sewer pipe further down the line to redirect the services. Do I need to contact Thames Water to notify them or can I just cut into the pipe without telling them?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If it is within your boundary and you are not sending a different type of water down it, then you can just get on with it.
