What is the best meterial for door step
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.08 PM
Hello: I just replace the patio door with UPVC french door. After the new door fit, inside the room, there is a raw brick gap between the door frame and the wood floor, about 145mm. My builder suggests ordering a granite panel to fit on the brick. I prefer to put a hardwood door sill or even cement on the brick and paint it but my builder says the wood will rot and I have paint it every year. May I ask what the best material for that gap inside of the room, please? Thank you Regards Tom

1.Insert d.p.c. under cill, of door before making good ,re brick and make good.
2.Plaster /render internal to a plaster finish ,or fit a u.p.v.c.strip,under door cill frame, flush to wall,to match frame section.
Regards,
Vincent.
