I need someone to do some pointing work, which is the best tradesperson to do the job

Make sure you see there previous pointing . Usually the bricklayers or stonemasons that do finishing stones like facing bricks etc are usually good for pointing

A good multi trader/ handyman should be able to do this without a problem, bricklayer would be good but they are hard to find these days. Make sure the mortar is weaker than the brick
