6 litre eco cistern not very eco

Had a new toilet and a Opella Ecofil duel flush cistern fitted a year ago.The old cistern was about 50 years old and the flush was brilliant. The new one (at about the same height) just does not do the job of clearing the pan.In can take up to 3 flushes to clear waste. Is it possible in these Eco driven times to buy a much larger cistern and would they be easy to connect to the newr pan?

It sounds like your soil pipe/WC connector has a back fall because of the difference in soil outlet height between the old and new toilets. The solutions are lowering the Soil pipe branch or raising your toilet. If you check things out and find that you do need more flush then try upgrading the flush valve before going down the route of a new cistern which often leads to new toilet and cistern. good luck Chris
