Adapter kit to use shower room waste for a bath?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.47 PM

We are getting quotes to install a bath in our wet room. One of the quotes we have been given states using an adaption kit that screw into the wet room waste to convert back for the bath, saving ripping up the floor. As we are housing association tenants the permission we have been given is for the bath to be installed, but if we want to move in the future they may demand we return it to a wet room. So if this adapter is out there and it's feasible it works in our favour. Can anyone confirm this adapters existence? The tradesman states it's made by aco fittings, and also says spreading the load of the bath by placing it on timber battens will spread the weight and again not damage the alto flooring we have. Just wondered as I am a worrier if what I'm being told is feasible, the position of the bath is where it originally was? Tia

Hi Tia, Please find below bathtub adaptor; http://www.akw-medicare.eu/en/gravity-waste/187-bathtub-receiver-adapter.html and these are some floor protection pads for between the floor and the timber that will be under your bath feet. I hope this helps. Chris
