External cladding

What tradesman do I get a quote from for external timber cladding (western cedar), a carpenter or builder or both?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would get 2-3 quotes from local carpentry and joinery companies, ideally get someone with experience as first impressions count. Make sure of their work history if they have done this type of work before.
Good luck

Definitely an experienced carpentry company, ask for there professional opinion on some details of how it's going to work and be finished, there answers should indicate wether or not they have a good idea of what they are doing. When cladding the corner details are key to get right as it sets you of on the right path. Also ask for any photos or a portfolio of past work they may of done similar to what you are having done which should contain customers feedback. Hope this has helped.
