Plumbing

Flexible pipe for cistern supply and overflow

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.47 PM

I remounted a cistern and had to do it higher as there were broken rusted screws in the origonal holes. As a result, the supply pipe and overflow doesn't reach. To make things easier, can I use a flexible hose for the water supply? The old pipe is easy to remove part way down just above the valve. The overflow goes directly outside to a drain, is there some sort of felxible pipe I could use to attach to the old pipe?

You could use a flexible pipe for water inlet but o/f wants to be done with o/f pipe and glued fittings

Can use a flexi for water inlet but I suggest using 3/4 solvent waste pipe just incase the cistern overflows as that's what it's for.
