why would my electric water boiler go through 6 immersion elements in 3 years?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.07 PM
I have an economy 7 electric water boiler. The heating element that comes on at night repeatedly fails/burns? This happens twice a year which leads me to think there is a hidden electrical problem in the flat. Previous electricians and plumbers could not find a reason. Could someone advise what could be done to fix this problem please? Is there any heave duty producst that are available or is anything else I might investigate? Thanks

are you in a hard water area, the bottom element which is on more than the boost (top element) so gets more use. but it may be laying on scale at bottom of cylinder this will make it fail quicker you may need to have cylinder de scaled.
