Kitchen Fitting

Can I put a kitchenette in a bedroom

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.26 PM

I kind of know I can but it wouldn't be above the main kitchen downstairs so the plumbing etc. can't just come through. Is there a way I can put a very small kitchenette in an upstairs bedroom from scratch - i.e. all new plumbing etc.? Nothing too fancy. I'm guessing just one double unit where a small fridge could fit under and a couple of cupboard above the surfaces. Should the floor be reinforced to support it? Thank you! 😊

If I'm understanding correctly your only real issue is pipework. You need to get hot and cold to the bedroom which could mean a lot of floor boards lifting to make a route which can be easily done.. it's just your waste pipe for your sink etc it needs to get to your svp which by the sounds of it is not near the bedroom so you may need a saniflo pump if you can't get waste to svp.. also you wouldn't need to reinforce floor it would only be same as a wardrobe in weight really

hi<=! it is possible to make kitchen in upstairs bedroom ,just need to find out nearest cold feed (water)and hot where to connect !also important about the waste that you above or under the floor!the best location could be next to the bathroom(but not always )depending of pipework that you just go true the wall to make connection...or lift up floor boards cheers
