Spotlights In Extension Not Working! 9/10 Lights All Out

Hi guys, I'm moving into another property in a few weeks and I need some help/advice, they have a extension on there property and it has spotlights in there about 9/10 if I'm correct but the problem is that when you switch them on nothing happens, they don't have a clue why as it was built before they moved in, if this makes sense then any help would be appreciated thanks again

This is best solved by an electrician with a visit, not trying to solve it over the internet. We could make countless guesses at it and still be wrong.
