how to repair Black polished porcelain tile floor - scratches & discolour

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.07 PM

Our new bathroom's floor is just 2 weeks old. They are black polished porcelain and full of scratches which were done by the vacuum cleaner. We tried to use the car scratch remover T-cut. Sadly, the tiles have all dull patches and lost the gross. Is there any recommended self repair's solution? Do I need to seal the rest of the floor to prevent further damage?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Some polished porcelian come pre sealed this happens a lot with the darker tile I very much doubt if the scratches can be removed with making it worse so resealing might help.

Tile supplier should have recommended sealing procedure if required. Failing that the installer should have done this if it was a requirement. He should have checked prior to installation. However this doesn't help your current situation. I'd definitely go with the sealing and possibly replace the scratched tiles prior to this
