How many down lights for my living room?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.26 PM

I have a living room 4.3m long x 3.1m wide with the ceiling 2.3m high . How many downlights do i need ? How far apart should they be? And if they go all around the room would the one over the tv reflect on to the screen.or do i just not have one directly over the tv? Thanks Ok thanks for the quick answers .... so my current light in the center of the room houses 5 OFF 5w candle LED BULBS which gives us the required light . But I will be losing this on installation of the Down lights So I guess I'll be buying 5 watt LED fittings This really is where I need your advice thanks

Usually it starts from 600mm from the wall so 9. 3x4 for more light or 6. 2x3 you will need to divide the space between each downlights to keep downlights space even with every downlights.

Would be a help if you stated what type of downlights you are thinking of installing? LED's,? Halogen? What wattage will they be? Your edit. 6. 2 rows of 3. Mind the beams when you cut the holes. The beams will dictate the distance apart. Just a bit of planning, As for the TV thing I wouldn't worry about it.
