I had a really lovely battery operated LED tap fitted a few days ago, but due to the distance between the nob to turn it on and the back of the wall, I cant fully turn the nob onto hot: as I have a conventional system (so the pressure of the cold water is greater then the hot), I was considering swopping the connections around - so when you turn it to the blue indicator, you get hot water instead of cold (and visa versa) but Im unsure if this will affect the efficiency of the tap/pipes in the long haul.....
