Removing glass panels above internal doors

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.26 PM

My 1980s house has the grooved glass panels above the internal doors. They are very much not to my liking and I want to get rid of them or find a way of covering to make more modern. I'd like something more permanent and smarter looking than painting them. I've heard plastering is not advised. Any thoughts would be appreciated Thanks

Leave the glass in situ and ply board over the top of your frame and paint/decorate to match your room interior

You can either remove beading and replace glass with new or you can simply just cover over by adding ply or mdf over both sides to hide the glass.
