Rewire and lengths of cables for possible extensions
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.33 PM
We have recently had an electric survey done and are now planning a rewire. We plan to have a kitchen extension done in the future, as well as our loft converted and an electrical shower and fan added in the bathroom. The electrician we have spoken to has advised that we think about the additional number of sockets etc that we would like so that he can account for the length of cable required to add these points in the future. I'm wondering if it's possible to add the cable later or is it best to get it done now? If we do have to have the cable added now, would we need to plan exactly where we want each point even though the extensions/renovations have not taken place yet?
