Ceiling rose replacement, wago connector advise please

I'm replacing a ceiling pendant light. The new light doesn't allow room for a ceiling rose. I have decided to take the ceiling rose off and connect up using Wago connectors. Do I have to put the connectors into a Wago junction box? As individual connectors they will fit into the cradle of the pendant, but the junction box is pretty big and' won't fit .....
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It should be fine in the fitting as long as you make sure the fitting is well earthed .

Yes just put them on as the fitting surround is classed as an enclosure. The time for a wago box is when hard wiring, is joined ..i.e for recessed downlighters.
