Central Heating

Since Boiler pump changed heating not reaching room thermostat level

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.46 PM

I apologise for being clueless in advance. Been having some issues with Boiler and CH. I did have half a brain cell and worked out pump had gone on New years eve. BG confirmed and engineer replaced with this new grundfos variable one. CH back and working but to me its not working in the same way but maybe just losing my marbles. The room stat I set to 21 and its not ever really getting there because after about 1-2 hours the radiators cool as if I have turned off heating. Then when they are cold and I am talking cold the heating will once again trigger after a certain period. The stat throughout this entire period (honeywell) has the flame to suggest calling for heat but when I look at boiler (Logic Heat 15 condensing) its showing 0 and no call. The room stat is clearly working as every morning it kicks in at 7 as requested but sure enough after certain period radiators cool. I know its cold but I would not expect radiators to cool until stat temperature reached. Would appreciate a viewpoint from someone who knows what they are talking about.

In this situation there are so many variables as to route cause(s) so I would recommend you invite a Gas Safe engineer who you must ask first if they specialise in troubleshooting heating system/boiler problems such as this example, as not all Gas Safe engineers do!
