Convert from radiator to underfloor heating on ground floor in stages?

Hello, I'm planning to convert the heating on ground floor from radiator to wet underfloor heating. I can't afford to do the whole lot at once (will change the carpet to engineered wood floor at the same time). So I'm planning to do the reception room and TV room (50sqm), then the rest at a later stage. Would radiators and underfloor heating works fine within one heating system ( ecoTEC plus 618 boiler and uniSTOR 200l from Vaillant boiler finder)? short term and long term? Mine is a 5 beds detached house, I plan to have all ground floor underfloor heating and radiators upstairs. Thanks a lot.

Consider how you are going to control the UFH thermostatically independent from the other radiators. Your new floor type can be damaged by to much heat transfer so you need to make provisions for a another room thermostat where the stat sensor is located in close proximity to UFH pipes, consult the flooring supplier on this matter first. So therefore you heating engineer will have to modify the heating controls to include another 2 port motorised diverter valve!

Yes this can be done and I have done it a few times. Your ufh and radiator system will both be controlled by 2 port valves allowing them both to work at the same time along side each other.
