Need to attach cooker electric wire to wire from cooker fuse?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.45 PM

Hi We have a new cooker & need to have the wire in cooker fuse Unfortunately the previous cookers wire couldn't be removed from the fuse as one of the screw heads is slightly damaged & couldn't unscrew it out. As the wire is already connected to the fuse box We are wondering if we could just have the wires attached together with a 32a junction box connector It is the same wire we are using I hope this makes sense!! We are desperate for this before Xmas!! Ps. In answer to the question, I wasn't planning in doing myself! It's just a general question & also I can't help my cooker braking down before Xmas, which is why it's a rush now! I didn't leave it late :( The cooker wire just needs connecting by an electrician Thanks!!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Stop! Call an electrician before someone gets hurt or worse. You might get one to come if you are lucky, why have you left it so late? Please don't attempt this yourself. YOUR EDIT... ring an electrician up.
