Anonymous user 23 February 2024 - 3.06 PM

I will appreciate advice.I had an electric Richmond cooker fitted in 4 months ago.It has being working fine ever since being installed.2 days ago electrician installed a extractor hood fan, since then the 4 hobs on electric Cooker have stopped working.Electrician said he didn't cause problem and cooker has just stopped working.I live in a house.I am just puzzled about not having a electrical cooker not working before Christmas.Needless to say I had to ring cooker electrician and is coming to have a look at cooker in few days.Cooker is still under warrante. Thanks for any help or advice given.

Well, does any other part of the oven work e.g. the oven itself? If it does, it would lean to a problem with the hob is it a freestanding oven, hob and oven combined? Or seperate hob & oven? Is the oven and hob connected to the same supply? So many if buts and maybe's here. It might be just coincidence with the other electrician fitting the hood. Without actually looking at it, and using a process of elimination it's hard to say for sure what it is.

Probably tapped the supply off the cooker isolator and has loosened a connection. Let us know if this has been resolved
