Noisy toilet after flush

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.25 PM

After I flush the toilet there is a loud 'ship horn' sound and vibration which carries on until the toilet tank fills up . Please help. Could I fix this somehow myself???

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Is there a small valve on the pipe supplying the cistern? If there is, you could try to adjust the pressure slightly by turning the valve with a slot head screwdriver. This happened on my loo and it cured the problem. Best of luckšŸ€ Paul

It sounds like you have a faulty flexi hose that supplies to water to the cictern. It happens when you have high pressure but the hose can not manage the water flow. Try to replace this first. If no luck the issue is with the flush valve inside the cictern. Good luck! Charles
