Where do certain wires of a new gas eye level cooker connect to?

Hello there. Please could you help me? I have recently purchased a new gas cooker with eye level grill. I also have the banid fitting which seems straightforward. The problem I have is after taking off the packaging there is a copper wire and another separate white wire. What do I do with them? Where do they go? What do they have to connect to? I am a women of 48 on my own so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Lisa.

First do not even attemp to fit this yourself
1 you have no gas qualifications
2 you do not have the equipment to test the installation is safe
3 it is illegal
4 with all due respect if you can't figure out what the wires are for you really should not be attempting this
5 a gas registered plumber will do this for not very much
Be safe get it done properly please.
