Should I resurface my driveway with Leotak adhesive bond & tarmac on top?
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.33 PM
My driveway has been damaged by a digger bucket leaving scratches and dig shaped straight lined gouges. The workmen responsible have offered to repair it using a leotak bitumen adhesive bond and a new 6mm layer of tarmac on top. Will this be a good quality repair?

Yes it should be fine as long as the old driveway is cleaned properly and the tarmac is laid at approximately 40 mm thick hope this helps

Yes, an overlay is fine
If you cut out a channel
With a circular saw and
Breaker to feather in
The newly laid Tarmac to the existing surface
Clean off all loose debris
Apply K140 tack coat emulsion
Apply the tarmac at a minimum of 40 mm and at a greater depth where needed
