Sloping Floor in one of the bedrooms

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.06 PM

I just wondered whether someone could tell me whether a sloping floor in my bedroom should be a cause for concern? It slopes downwards towards the doorway (it's quite slight but noticeable when walking in the room and a ball will roll down it.) Could there be an underlying issue or is this quite common? The house was built in 1970 if that helps? If there is an issue, how would we go about getting it resolved?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi In most cases there is a reson for the floor to slope most times it due to house the house was build if it has always been like it But if it's only just starting to slope then there could be problem ie roten joists, house movement, or the packer the builder used on the joists has come out Hope this helps Mark
