How to properly fit a boiler in a corner

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.45 PM

I am posting this on behalf of my landlord who wants a second opinion. He had a tradesman fit a boiler and, as you can see by the pictures it is a right bloody mess regarding the pipe work. I am fairly certain that there must have been a way of putting those pipes in a lot tidier fashion. The fitter, said they had to be like that as there is a pipe in the way down the side of the boiler, horizontaly, but there is a one inch gap between were that pipe ends and were the next he fitted pipe begins. I am pretty sure that end pipe, the one that is on a terrible angle and comes over the door frame, could have been fitted to the left instead. Even better would be if there was some way of routing the pipes behind the boiler? I am sure I have seen others done like this online. The model is a Procombi A32. Opinions appreciated and offers to correct it from local companies welcome. Based in Hull. Photos can be seen here, copy paste to browser. http://s1380.photobucket.com/user/richardson0280/library/?sort=2&page=1 If need any more photos or info about boiler let me know. Boiler itself works fine, was fitted a few years ago but landlord had not seen the work until now.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

That pipework is horrendous. No excuse for it. Some boilers are able for the pipes to go behind it, but you would need a jig to hold the boiler far enough of the wall to put the pipes behind. That pipework can be tidied up where it is. It really can't get any worse
