Lifting up Nd carrying very heavy cast iron radiators

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.06 PM

I have a wuestion which I would be very grateful if you help me with. I ordered 2 cast iron radiators and they were delivered to my address. The driver drop them safely on the street level. I have now to get them in position where they will be imstalled. My flat is a 1st floor conversion of a victorian house. The radiators are very heavy so when I arranged 2 guys to carry it, they could not. I think it needs 4 people which I am happy to arrange but the problem is the staircase in my place is too tight for 4 people, it would take 2 people. The weights of the 2 radiators together is 250kg so I think every one is 125-130, this does not seem that bad but in reality they are very heavy. Any ideas on how to get them up, e.g climbing up trolleys or something that makes it easy for 2 people to do it? If you have any idea please please tell me because they are on street now which is horrible. If anyone here can help, please five me quote and I will be happy to proceed immediately Thanks

Try separating them doing one at a time, two people tie rope to one end and one person push the other pull with the rope end and try sliding it up the stairs
