Combi boiler loosing pressure - no visible leaks anywhere

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.24 PM

Have checked for leaks everywhere ( pipes -ground floor surface mounted hence visible - no ceiling stains, valves, rads, PRV outlet, under/round the boiler) Yet pressure drops within a few hours of topping up. Have topped up so many times the house should be flooded by now!!!! Yet no leaks visible and no ceiling stains anywhere!! Any ideas ??

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You more than likely have an air lock in your heating system, I would sujest the cheapest option first and drain down your heating system and have it flushed hopefully this should work. Kind regards LTS SERVICES ltd

check your pressure release valve, trace pipe to outside of building to see if it is dripping,it may not look like it is dripping when pressure is lost put a cup under it and check after boiler has been running and pressure lost,if it is this it could be expansion vessel needs re pressuring or is defective,if you keep topping system up you will end up with corrosion problems,
