cleaning cement off roof tiles

I am having a porch built with a hip roof i have noticed that the tiles and the ridge tiles havn't been pointed up very well and the builders have got cement over the tiles and ridge tiles can this be cleaned off

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi I'm Mitchell from mg plastering. To answer your question about cement to be cleaned off the tiles. Yes it can be cleaned off but the only thing that will remove it will be brick acid and a wire brush 😀

Hi there. Personally I would use brick acid like Mitchell suggested but I would jet wash it off after as some tiles can scratch when using a wire brush. Regards Gary Gb building services.

Hi, I would strongly disagree with jet washing any roof tile! as this will void the manufactures guarantee on the tile as it destroys the tile! the only way to clean cement of roof tiles is small amount of brick acid and a good wire brush. any scratches will soon weather in over the winter months.
