Painted mist coat with satin wood paint

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.24 PM

We've accidentally painted our mist coat on brand new plaster with (watered down) satin wood / metal paint. Is that a problem? Do we need to sand down and start again?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You should be ok sanding it to give it a key, so the new diluted mist coat has something to adhere to. It might take a little longer for the new paint to dry in that area.
