17degree pitch on a hipped roof

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.24 PM

We are having an extension- we want a hipped roof but the pitch is only 17.5degrees. Will we struggle to find suitable tiles to accommodate this due to it being a hipped roof with a low pitch?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

There are lots of low pitch tiles out there but from experience they fail if you are located in an area subject to prevailing wind driven rain.

I would recommend using a sandtoff 20/20 tile for you extension. Going down to 15 degrees and looking nicer to the eye that a lot of other tiles that go down to this degrees.
