Electric Heater Replacement

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.24 PM

We live in a top floor city flat which isn't connected to the gas main. At the moment we have 6 electric heaters that are wired directly in to the mains, however only 3 of them work. We are interested in either replacing just the broken heaters, or replacing all of them and putting in a central thermostat. We can't find a lot of information online about which electric heaters are best, so could with some advice. We live in quite a large 2 floor open plan flat where the second floor is a mezzanine over the living areas (appox total size is 35' by 21' floor plan, 16' tall). Does 6 heaters sound like an appropriate number? What brand(s) are recommend and which ones should we avoid? Is it difficult to install a thermostat to link all the heaters together?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The thermostat would have to be wired back to a central contactor if its to control all the heaters. Maybe better and easier to install local thermostats in convenient places for each heater.
