I need to change a broken toilet seat but the holes on the china are very small

I need to change a toilet seat but the holes for the fixings underneath the toilet are very small and recessed making access difficult I can only just get the tips of n My fingers in to repair it how do I change the seat

Hi, Is this modern toilet or ordinary one? If it's ordinary one that mean bolts to fix from bottom of the toilet top surface and you need seat with just screw lane to go into the holes through to bottom that bolts can be fixed from there. Hope that helps :) Mark

You can always buy a topfix toilet seat kit. It does exactly what it says on the tin and no need to get to the underside!
