Bleeding Radiators on a System Immersion Tank and Tanks in Loft

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.44 PM

Hi I was hoping someone could help with a question I have about my radiators. I've just moved into a new place with an old oil fired boiler (20-25 years) with an immersion tank and tanks in the loft. Do I need to pressurise the system after I've bleed the radiators? I've only ever had combi systems before and used the filling loop to put pressure back in the system. Appreciate if someone could help with this query. Thanks in advance Ash

with an f and e tank in loft ie the smaller of the two tanks in loft the system should fill on its own,but check ball valve in tank as they can jam shut if system has not been serviced or drained over a long period
