How to fill a large void in ceiling joins
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.44 PM
We just had our bathroom redone and the walls came off with the tiles. They have put up new walls, which are now tiled and look great, however there is now a void all along the ceiling/wall joins around the whole ceiling (about 2-3 inches on one side) as the walls aren't as thick as they were before. The trouble is there's nothing in that void (no joist - nothing!) to stick new plasterboard on to. So I'm just looking for some ideas please... Thanks!

Hi there what you will need todo is buy a pierce of battern and cut a length longer that the hole so why ever the size of the hole just and 3 inches epithet side once you have done that place the battern up through the hole and drill 2 or 3 screws up through the plasterboard into the battern then after that cut a piece of plasterboard to fit the hole screw up and it's done.
