Nest thermostat

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.24 PM

I've got an existing wireless thermostat for my current heating. Can I replace like for like with nest? I've read its wired? I just need a box I can move around the house.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The nest is almost wireless, the actual thermostat itself requires 12v, this is achieved by plugging it in ( cable provided ) or using existing thermostat wiring via the nests wiring centre which needs to be connected to your combi boiler or coventional system wiring centre. It can be quite involved ! All though it is a good bit of kit & well worth the money.
