High chlorine levels in water - Greenwich

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.33 PM

Hello I live in Greenwich South East London and the water in our shower is cloudy and has been really harsh on my hair and skin. I fitted a chlorine shower filter but it has made minimal difference. How do I test whats in the water (Im pretty sure its high chlorine levels) and will fitting a water softner help? Is there any service which will come and test the water and fit a softner/filters to fix it? Olivia

Your water will be supplied by your local company they have to by law comply with regulation of what is in your water. if you go on their website you will find all the details of your water quality remember most authorities clean the system at night and sometimes its best to run your tap for a minute in the morning so that any build up is cleared. a good plumber can look and reassure you that your pipes are ok. your local water suppler is your best point of call if you have concerns they are normally very helpfull..
