Bathroom Fitting

Fitting shower enclosures to shower trays with upstands

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.44 PM

I am fitting a shower enclosure with 1 side panel and a sliding door into a corner with 2 walls. The shower tray that I have has 4 upstands. When I fit the door and panel do they fit right up to the inside of the upstands or should I leave a space between the door/panel and the upstand. And, should I mastic along the inside bottom edge of the door and panel where it meets the shower tray? Thank you.

I'm not sure I understand your first question but as to the second question if you look on the bottom of the panel trim there is probably a recession fill this with good quality silicone to seal the edge if this is completely sealed then there should be no need to put additional silicone on show. Good luck!
