Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.05 PM

Hey, i recently built a house and i am looking to paint it. The walls are plaster. My partner bought sherwin williams cashmere paint and primer on the weekend, my question is this all i need for the walls? I have been reading about a "mist coat" do i need to do this?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes with newly plastered walls it is best to put on a mist coat which is usually white Matt emulsion watered down then apply a further two coats of emulsion on top.Good luck!!

I only ever use contract emulsion on new plastered walls and ceilings, It bleachers out the plaster and gives an excellent base coat for emulsioning.
