Conservatories

What is best viable option to convert a conservatory into an year round living space/lounge area ?

Hello everyone, I am in the process of buying a small sized bungalow but with a big conservatory (in metres - 6.2 w x 3.0 h) Conservatory was built in 1999 with a brick wall that is about 1.5 ft and remaining in double glazed windows. The roof is covered with very old rippled plastic sheets. I still haven't got the foundations checked but I have a strong feeling that the concrete foundation is not 1 m depth which means I just can't remove he windows and cover it up with a brick wall and a tiled roof on the top. As the living room is so tiny, I need to think of doing something to convert this conservatory space to a living room. Is there a sensible yet cost effective possibility to achieve this. ? Or is demolition and starting from scratch my only alternative ? If so, pls give me the rough estimate for an extension that is 24 sq.m.

You can get something called a super-lite roof. The old roof is removed down to the frames then a new beam put round and rafters fitted that have 5" celotex between. You can put velux roof lights in them aswell Then the external side is classed in tiles and the internal is then boarded and skimmed the look really nice when finished and you get zero damage
