Boiler fitted but license now lapsed

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.33 PM

Hi there, We had a boiler installed at the beginning of September. The engineer now needs to sign it off, but he says his license expired at the beginning of October. He said it's not a problem as his license was still valid when he fitted the boiler, so he can still sign it off. Is this correct?? He also says he has 28 days grace in which to renew his license. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Telephone Gas Safe for confirmation. Have the engineers registration number at hand as this will be asked for, if you do not know then provide them with his name & address. If he presented a written quote then his registration number should be on that! Goggle 'Gas Safe'
