Washing machine hose stuck in waste pipe
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.24 PM
I had a plumber install a new waste pipe under the kitchen sink a couple of years ago when it started leaking and when he replaced it, he added two entry points, one for the dishwasher and one for the washing machine. (He plumbed this back in when he was done). Since then, the washing machine gave up on me and when I tried to remove the drain hose and it was stuck in, despite putting reasonable force on it. I ended up cutting it off and leaving it in there. Not long after I noticed the dishwasher had started clogging up so I don't know if me messing with the pipes, or leaving the extra hose in there has caused something but I gave it all a good clean out and a couple of weeks later it has clogged up again. Is there a standard method or a way I can remove the hose (the pipes aren't the type which can be unscrewed)? I'm tempted to get a new (bigger) dishwasher anyway so I could just get a plumber in to replace the pipe with the hose stuck in and install the dishwasher and washing machine to make sure nothing is wrong but would ideally have the dishwasher hang on till January if possible.
