Calculating foundation area based on known house footprint

Hello If a house has a usable living area of 70 sq meters on the ground level, does the sq metre size of the foundation generally correlate exactly, or would it always be slightly larger? So in this example, allow for 80 sq metre foundation? Many thanks in advance for any help!

It would certainly be bigger business of external walls are sitting on the foundation so you have to take into account.
