How long to tile a bathroom floor 3sq.m.

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.05 PM

A very small bathroom in a new build house. 3sq.m. Job requires:- Temporary remove toilet and pedestal wash-hand basin. Remove plastic bath panel. Lift existing floor tiles and ply wood underneath. Fit new ply, and lay tiles. Re-fir toilet, pedestal wash-hand basin and bath panel. I've been quoted for 3 days. Previously had job done in one day, tiles down by early afternoon, and plumber returning at tea time to re-fit toilet etc. 3 days seems excessive.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi I would say 1 day and a morning. First day I would remove Toilet ,Sink and bath panel. Then install new aqua panels or no more ply boards. Once that has been done I would expect to take the afternoon to Tile the floor. Respecting Drying times etc I would return the next day to grout silicone an fit accessories back in place. Adam Hope this helps you?

First thing do not use ply use cement board not much difference in price ,just the tiling alone I could fit board and tile in a morning but would charge a day and as you say, fit sanitary ware in afternoon.
