Tv on chimney breast in bedroom... Above living room with burner

Hi Just bought a house and we're planning to put a log burner in the living room chimney breast. How would we be on for putting a tv on the same chimney breast but in the upstairs bedroom? Thanks

Umm, "wouldn't have thought" is not the best of answers is it. Putting a TV on the bedroom Brest is not a problem BUT there are two very important things to be aware of. 1. If you're fitting a new log burning stove in the chimney it must be lined as well 2. When you drill into the chimney stack for TV bracket fixings, those holes must not protrude into the other flue or the new liner...if they do, you'll fall asleep watching TV one night and never wake again... Please pay for a local HETAS specialist to undertake this work.
