When to bung the tank and when not too

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.43 PM

Hi I'm an amateur diyer. I need to change my radiator like for like. Is this what I neee to do: Just turn the valves off either side, empty the rad of water, for new rad, go round house and bleed the other radiators Correct? I would also like to move another rad in the lounge, just move it one way to the left, so I need to alter pipework. So I neee to bung the expansion and cold feed in the 10 gallon tank to create a vacuum and stop the water coming out of the pipe work. Is that correct? Thank you.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

With respect, best leave this type of work to a professional Gas Safe heating engineer (not a plumber!) as if anyone here advises you of what method and procedure to follow it may probably all end in tears because of your very limited practical knowledge within our field, despite your obvious enthusiasm.
