Are building Regs required for converting upstairs bedroom into bathroom?
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.54 PM
We would like to convert a small bedroom upstairs into a bathroom as we currently only have a bathroom downstairs. There would be no structural issues or moving of walls. Would we require building regs for the new bathroom? Thanks, S

As far as electrics are concerned, because it would be bathroom work, a Part P Notification would be needed.
Hope this helps.

hi i done the exact same thing a little while ago and yes you do need building regs as the new soil pipe needs checking by them and also need a electrical certificate, it also gives you the right paperwork if you sell your property
