Gas cooker/glass lid issue

Hi I bought a stand alone gas cooker a few years ago, it has a glass lid which covers the rings, the lid has a safety feature so it cant be put down on lit rings. The safety mechanism has stuck down, so the rings/hob wont light, can this be fixed? Or should the cooker be scrapped?

Hi,
Of course this can be fixed but only by a gas safe registered tradesmen who can replace or adjust the fitting and gas test the appliance and register the date and time the problem has been fixed against his gas register number.
