can you use a silicone top coat on sand and cement smooth finsh render

My rendering is sand and cement smooth finish, it is sound, could i use a silicone top coat onto this to save having to paint it ?

yes you can use silicone top cout , but if you wanna save money i think better just paint it

after i render a house i recommend a textured waterproof masonry paint as for a silicone over it im a plasterer i do know how to decorate so you have no blemishes whats so ever but don't know all the products i suggest going in to a place who sells this product and ask there advice
