Advice needed.. armoured cable from dwelling consumer unit to cabin consumer unit... the cabin will have a separate shower room, approx 4 double sockets for TV & small fridge, kettle ect, 3 lights. Part time dwelling for visitors. I'm thinking 10mm cable because of the shower, but something in my mind is saying 6mm ?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi yes you need to get an electrician in to advise on this. You will probably end up needing 16mm to run everything your mentioning particularly if it's a long run between dis boards. This is also a job that needs notifying & needs to installed by a registered electrician & certificated at the end of the work.

Hi all new showers should be fitted with 10mm cable, also you will also need to inform Building Control of the new installation works

Hi, what about heating and cooking, I'm assuming your cabin won't have a gas supply, therefore these will all be electric.
I would advise you to get an electrician in well before you intend to start work or it could be a costly mistake..
There are so many reasons why it would not be a good idea to attempt this type of work yourself and this is obvious by the fact you have had to ask the question in the first place. It would be inappropriate to guess and provide you with the information you have requested without knowing the full facts after a site survey..
