How to run pipes from wall to radiator

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.42 PM

I'm replacing the radiators in our home and I want to run the pipes from the wall instead of up from the floor boards. The rest of the house will have a clean contemporary look to it so I think this will really finish the look. What's your advice on how to achieve the best installation? I've read that some people prefer to use copper pipes, but I've also heard some people say plastic is better for this job. What's best to insulate the pipes with? Foam, lagging or something else? Does it matter what angle the pipe comes out the wall? Will it still be easy to connect to the radiator regardless? What looks the best? I would love to know your thoughts and if you have any tips when doing this type of work.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Copper is much better to use for the job as plastic can break really easily and is hard to repair, copper will give the room a much cleaner and crisp look
